A wonderful amber bead necklace from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This stylish necklace is comprised of natural amber beads that alternate with strands of sterling chain to form an extra long necklace. Each amber bead is cut and polished into a unique oval shape. The beads vary slightly in size and shape, and all display a wonderful range of rich orange colors. The sterling silver chain which connects the amber beads features heart-shaped and double-ellipse shaped links, which alternate. The sterling silver links also utilize cut-out designs, which further add to the dainty nature of the piece. Although the necklace could be slipped on and off over the head, the necklace is secured with a spring ring clasp. The generous length of the necklace and the attractive shape of the beads give this necklace a very appealing and versatile appearance. A perfect everyday piece, it would lend itself perfectly to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The overall length of the necklace is approximately 57". Each amber bead is 3/4" long and 1/2" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of this necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the amber beads or sterling silver chain. The spring ring clasp is secure and in working condition.
